Announcing the Daddy Daughter Blog
My daughter, Libby, and I recently launched daddydaughter.blog.
Libby came home from school one day and said that an author and a writing teacher spoke to their class about a summer writing camp and blogging, and so she wanted to start a blog. She was nine (now ten). I was somewhat surprised, but proud and pleased, so getting the blog up and going is our summer project.
We've decided that we will write about our adventures together, movies we watch, books we read, and other stuff we do. For example, we've written about kayaking on Lady Bird Lake, our bucket lists, and we've reviewed Incredibles 2. What makes it relevant here, other than my being a part and bragging on my daughter, is that we also discuss spiritual matters from time to time, usually on Sundays. Our first post about a Bible verse and Libby's interpretation is about Kids Changing the World.
We both write each post together. Typically, I write an intro with my perspective, then Libby writes hers. I'll make an occasional grammatical correction or spelling change, but what she writes is what appears on the blog. It's a fresh and simple perspective.
I invite you to take a few minutes and head on over to daddydaughter.blog and give it a
